Cathy Toft Memorial Fund
Cathy Toft, a founder of NCR, passed away on December 2, 2011. The day was way too soon and too sudden for everyone who
knew her and of her indomitable spirit. She was a mentor, a friend, and such a valuable resource to all who worked with her in collie
rescue. NCR is thriving today and is a well-respected rescue, largely because of Cathy’s efforts in building a strong and professional
foundation.

We want to honor Cathy and her tireless work for collies by establishing the Cathy Toft Memorial Fund, which will be used to help
rehabilitate collies who have lost their spirit or their way. Cathy was a staunch proponent of positive reinforcement dog training.
Cathy believed positive reinforcement training was tailor-made for rehabilitating rescue dogs with behavioral challenges, such as
extreme shyness or fear-based aggression. We plan to use this fund as needed to assist foster cargivers with professional help in
providing positive reinforcement dog training.
